I guess there should be a mechanism, probably per firewall, that would detect a firewall is running and then would launch a script, that might be per distribution? IĀ understand that this is a hard problem as it probably needs cooperation of both KDE Connect and distributions, but as of now, the user experience is poor. I have been putting up with years with KDE Connect randomly working or not working on various Wifi networks and I think this is the culprit - I just never took the time to investigate why until now. I suspect there are many users like me who are probably very frustrated by this.
