The native Steam is launched (which steam → /usr/bin/steam; flatpak ps shows no Steam instance), but the Icons-only Task Manager associates the running window with com.valvesoftware.Steam.desktop. The window exposes WM_CLASS = "steamwebhelper", "steam" but no X-KDE-DesktopFileName, so Plasma appears to be matching the wrong desktop entry.
