It may be that there are two connections to a single monitor, or the user has cloned the EDID onto one or both monitors. (The Nvidia proprietary driver does not provide sufficient information to handle the latter.) Does ddcutil command line communication work for /dev/i2c-6 and /dev/i2c-7? Please recheck with libddcutil from ddcutil 2.2.7 installed.
