Bug ID: 523354
Summary: Support for multiple choice of emoji names
Classification: Applications
Product: Emoji Selector
Version First unspecified
Reported In:
Platform: CachyOS
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
When using emoji selector I can search by the names of the emoji in my locale,
what I want is to be able to use the name not only from my locale, but english
and alternative names. For example, I want to use the thumbs up emoji which in
my language (european portuguese) is "polegar para cima" translated to "thumbs
up", but to unicode standards or using keyboard on android it can also be
"gosta" translated to "like". I would also like to be able to search for them
in both my locale and english for ease of use.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open emoji selector in european portuguese
2. Search for "like"
OBSERVED RESULT
Nothing shows up.
EXPECTED RESULT
"Thumbs up" emoji.
