I have a minor print disability, and being able to increase the line spacing of
text I'm reading improves my reading speed and comprehension substantially.
I'd like to add a feature to Ghostwriter to make it possible to choose a
different line spacing than the font's default.
The new setting will go in Settings > Font. I would add:
- Spacing: dropdown selector, with options 1, 1.25, 1.5, 1.75, 2
This setting will multiply the line spacing by the chosen number - 1 will keep
it the same, 2 will double it, 1.25 will increase it by 25%, etc.
I'm a programmer and I am proposing to write the code for this myself, but
wanted to find out if the community is open to it first. (I currently have a
workaround where I use a hindi font that fails back to English with extra
vertical space between lines, so I don't strictly *need* this feature.)
