benjamin melançon <[email protected]> changed: What |Removed |Added ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- CC| |[email protected] --- Comment #3 from benjamin melançon <[email protected]> --- TYY331 what are your other effects settings? Because i have never checked "Show selected window" and this bug has always been present (and very frustrating). To put it into my own words: When using the Task Switcher, it should be possible to switch between all windows and windows in an application in one use. The behavior when holding down the initiating key (alt by default, commonly meta is also used), as long as it is the same for both, and switching the motion part of the shortcut (by default, tab for moving forward between all windows, backtick for moving forward among windows in the current application) should work identically to initiating the behavior fresh, minus any delay. This is most important with the IMHO best configuration: Thumbnail Grid and Only one window per application. Alt/Meta Tab to see the overview of applications and get to the one you want, tab to choose the application (window group), then backtick to see the selection of windows in that application, and additional backticks to choose a window from within that application. Currently the first window of that application is immediately put in front and any additional backticks change the window invisibly, so one is merely guessing what will pop up when everything is released. But no window should be raised at all until i release the Alt key (or meta or however the shortcut has been defined). (Especially with "Show selected window" not selected, but even if it is the task switcher should still be shown until the key that started the shortcut for the task switcher is released.) (Side note, it would be really nice to have an indicator of *if* there are additional windows in an application group, maybe even a count. Would be happy to sponsor some love for this constantly-used part of Plasma.) -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
