coredumpctl backtrace for Dolphin crash (PID 7366)
System: Ubuntu 26.04 (Resolute Raccoon - Development Branch)
Dolphin Version: 25.12.3
Dolphin closed unexpectedly and now fails to launch entirely.
Steps to reproduce:
Dolphin crashed while running normally.
Relaunching from the terminal produced a segmentation fault due to a corrupted
session file:
kf.config.core: "KConfigIni: In file
/home/root-krish/.config/session/dolphin_dolphin_dolphin, line 5:" Invalid
entry (missing '=')
KCrash: Application 'dolphin' crashing... crashRecursionCounter = 2
[1] 16543 segmentation fault (core dumped) dolphin
I deleted the corrupted session file and tried to launch again.
Dolphin now aborts immediately with this output:
org.kde.dolphin: Unknown class "" in session saved data!
Running dolphin --version outputs thread warnings:
QThreadStorage: entry 7 destroyed before end of thread 0x5be100c75240
QThreadStorage: entry 3 destroyed before end of thread 0x5be100c75240
QThreadStorage: entry 2 destroyed before end of thread 0x5be100c75240
I have attached the coredumpctl backtrace text file for the most recent crash.
Regards,
Krishnendu
