Bug ID: 523506
Summary: Measurement units and paper size are not saved by
"Properties" dialog. Always comes up metric.
Classification: Applications
Product: okular
Version First 26.04.0
Reported In:
Platform: Ubuntu
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: printing
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Upon opening the printer "Properties" dialog
a) the units dropdown control always shows "Millimetres",
b) The "Page Size" is always A4 and
c) the "Margins" are always in mm
These can be reset to reflect inches and Letter sized paper.
When the dialog is saved and reopened the changes are still there and when
re-closed, the page prints properly.
If I open the "Properties" dialog again, everything is reset to metric.
I usually set up my computer with Canadian English and metric units but reset
everything to US English and inches for this test. There was no change; it
still came up metric.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Start Okular and load a PDF file.
2. Open "Print" dialog.
3. Open "Properties" dialog and reset units, paper size and margins to inches.
4. Print document.
5. Reopen the "Print" dialog.
OBSERVED RESULT
The new settings are lost. It is all metric again.
EXPECTED RESULT
The new settings should stick.
