DESCRIPTION
There is a noticeable lag in cursor movement when the cursor is animating. The
lag is prominent, especially on older systems, not so much on newer ones.
On the same system, other compositors such as Gnome/Cosmic have smooth cursor
movement.
When the cursor animates, other animations such as wobbly windows or magic lamp
animate smoothly, so it is clearly not an issue with the hardware.
I have also tested this with all the desktop effects disabled, but there is no
difference.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open an application which can request different cursor shapes.
2. Set a static cursor (pointer/grab) and try moving around.
3. Set an animated cursor (progress/wait) and try moving around.
OBSERVED RESULT
The cursor movement shows noticeable lag.
EXPECTED RESULT
The cursor movement should be smooth.
