--- Comment #2 from [email protected] --- Package: kio-extras 26.04.3-1 (Arch Linux) The plugin is opendocumentthumbnail.so (part of kio-extras, at /usr/lib/qt6/plugins/kf6/thumbcreator/opendocumentthumbnail.so). I checked and there's no separate ooxml/office-specific thumbnailer installed on my system. Despite the filename, this single plugin covers both format families. In Dolphin's preview settings (Configure Dolphin > Previews) the corresponding checkbox is literally labeled "OpenDocument, Documents for Microsoft Office" (translating from my French locale, so the exact English wording may differ slightly) so unchecking it disabled previews for .odt and .docx together in one go. To reproduce: Settings > Configure Dolphin > Previews > enable "OpenDocument, Documents for Microsoft Office", then try previewing a .docx. Mine had several tables and embedded content -- a very simple/short docx might not trigger the hang, so document complexity may matter. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
