When using KDE Connect's External Monitor feature, the virtual monitor is
created successfully and the client connects, but the client only displays a
black screen.
Mouse input works correctly, meaning I can move the cursor onto the virtual
display and control the desktop from the client. The issue appears to be that
no video frames are transmitted.
I also reproduced the problem using KRDC directly instead of KDE Connect.
The issue only occurs when my desktop (AMD RX 7700 XT) is acting as the KRDP
server.
If I reverse the setup and use my Intel UHD 620 laptop as the KRDP server and
the AMD desktop as the client, everything works correctly.
This suggests the problem is specific to the server side on the AMD system.

Steps to reproduce:
Pair two Fedora 44 KDE systems using KDE Connect.
On the AMD desktop, enable Use as External Monitor.
Connect from the laptop.
The virtual monitor is created.
Mouse input works.
The client remains completely black.
The same behavior occurs when connecting manually with KRDC to the KRDP server.
Expected result:
The virtual monitor contents should be displayed on the client.
Actual result:
The client connects successfully but displays only a black screen while mouse
input continues to work.

Additional information:
vainfo reports AV1 encode support but no VAAPI H.264 encode support.
FFmpeg software encoders (libx264, libopenh264) are installed and available.
VPN disabled during testing.
Both systems are on the same LAN.
Both systems are running identical Plasma/KDE Connect versions.
Virtual monitor creation is successful (kscreen-doctor shows the virtual
output).
Mouse input works correctly.
Only video output is missing.
Reversing the direction (Intel laptop as server, AMD desktop as client) works
correctly.
