Night Light settings

DESCRIPTION
Since upgrading from a 4K to a 6K external monitor (both 60Hz), I've noticed
that the transition to Night Light is painfully slow on the 6K display.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Set the Night Light transition time to 1 minute
2. Set the start time 1 minute from now
3. Observe the transition

OBSERVED RESULT
Reduced system responsiveness

EXPECTED RESULT
Smooth transition with near-zero CPU impact, because the machine can drive much
heavier graphics workloads (e.g.
https://webglsamples.org/aquarium/aquarium.html at 60 fps for 1000 objects).
