DESCRIPTION
This happens randomly, it's not reproducible at will in any way that I know of.
It has happened to me once.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
What I did was
1. leave the computer unattended for a while, so that it automatically went to
sleep
2. woke it up from sleep
OBSERVED RESULT
The brightness of the screen was very dimmed for no reason. It didn't go back
to normal, ever.
Additionally, the one widget in the lower-right corner that has a brightness
symbol, called "Brightness and color" contains a couple of things but NONE of
them is a brightness control. I was forced to restart. After restart,
brightness was normal
EXPECTED RESULT
After resume from sleep, the screen brightness should be at whatever level I
left it before going to sleep. And the widget whose icon is a brightness symbol
should contain a brightness control.
