DESCRIPTION
I use digikam 9.1.0 on Windows. My database and library are on an internal NVMe
drive.
I have a small photo collection of around 1500 images. I grouped the JPEG and
RAWs together (grouped by file basename). When going through images in preview
to rate them, I often hit a long freeze that lasts 30s. I did not find a way to
reliably reproduce it but going through my pictures at a reasonable speed to
rate them seems to trigger the freeze after 10 or so pictures rated. It does
not happen when I rate the picture.
I dumped the backtrace in Windbg and the main thread is stopped on the
following reliably:
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have multiple images (raw + jpegs) grouped by filename in your library. The
more, the better to reproduce.
2. Scroll through the images and rate them.
3. After rating a couple of images, the freeze should happen.
OBSERVED RESULT
The software freeze/stops responding for 30s to 60s.
EXPECTED RESULT
The software does not freeze.
