--- Comment #32 from [email protected] --- Hi, Installed as a test today(!): Digikam current development version 9.2 Nothing has changed. The only test I have to do: Open program, album list on the left, image icon list on the right in the window, no right sidebar open. Manual selection of images with mouse and control. Click on the image icons one after the other, a corresponding selection frame around the image appears. After about 14-15 images have been selected, no selection frame will appear anymore, even if another 5-6 images are clicked. The entire operation and mouse reaction is now completely blocked for over 1 minute. Only then will the missing selection markers appear. But the operation is still blocked. Scrolling with the mouse, i.e. continuing to scroll the image icons, only works again after over 2 minutes, for example. During this time, something is working in the background, the processor fan is running all the time... So everything as described at the beginning. Digikam can no longer be used. Uninstalled again and installed version 8.8. Runs without problems, no delays in image selection, processor fan stays quiet ... all many times mentioned and described above. This development is really a shame. I really enjoyed using Digikam, but now it's becoming an incalculable black box. For me as a pure user, a disappointing UX. Nobody knows the innards of Digikam better than you. It must be possible for you to determine what has changed in this area with the use of QT6. I will continue to use version 8.8 until you signal that something fundamental has changed and responsive behavior has been restored, as like working without lags in the older versions. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are watching all bug changes.
