DESCRIPTION
I seem to be having the same or very similar issue on Ubuntu 26.04 (Konsole
25.12.3, KDE Frameworks 6.24.0, Qt 6.10.2, running XFCE, X11) as #499811 and
I'm creating this issue because the old one is closed and there has been no
reactions in almost a month.
I don't see the single click being double (as simply clicking doesn't
immediately select a word), but everything else matches, including that this
comes up as an issue after suspend, and never otherwise during the day. I do
use multiple external monitors.
* double clicking selects an entire row
* middle mouse paste pastes double
* right click is double (I guess) which is why the menu immediately disappears
(most of the time)
* scrolling with the wheel doesn't work
* clicking on the menu bar doesn't summon a menu, I could only navigate it with
Shift+F10 and arrows
At first I thought it was the terminal emulator that's broken (before I noticed
that the menu was too), and I tried to reset the terminal in various ways
(clear scrollback and reset, opening a program that uses alternate screen e.g.
midnight commander): these of course didn't change a thing. The only way to
get normal behaviour back is to restart Konsole. Strangely the configuration
windows don't show any bad behaviour.
This is basically the only KDE app I use all the time, so if something else
also exhibits the issue I can't really tell. I could try to keep a Kolourpaint
open or something to check...
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Have Konsole open
2. Suspend your laptop, turn it back on sometime later
3. Try to use your open Konsole sessions like before
OBSERVED RESULT
Some kind of mouse handler does nearly everything double (does a handler get
installed again as the system regains consciousness?)
EXPECTED RESULT
Konsole should work reliably with a mouse.
