Screenshot of the error message stating that no brush presets are available.

DESCRIPTION
I am reporting a persistent issue with Krita's resource management system on
Windows.

This issue has occurred repeatedly over the course of more than one month
despite multiple clean reinstalls of Krita, rebuilding the resource database,
and testing both the default resource bundles and third-party bundles
individually.

I am using Krita 5.3.2.1 downloaded from the official website on Windows 10
(64-bit). The latest Wacom driver (6.4.12-4) is installed, but the issue occurs
before any interaction with the tablet and therefore does not appear to be
related to tablet input.

At random times after using Krita normally, the application starts with the
following message:

"There are no brush presets available. Please activate a bundle with brush
presets before continuing."

Krita then automatically opens the Resource Libraries Manager.

All default bundles (including Krita_3_Default_Resources.bundle and
Krita_4_Default_Resources.bundle) and all imported bundles are already enabled.

However, after clicking "Close", Krita immediately displays the same error
again, claiming that there are no brush presets available. After that, all my
brushes disappear.

This behavior has occurred multiple times over the course of more than one
month.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Install Krita 5.3.2.1 from the official Windows installer.
2. Import several third-party .bundle resource packs using Resource Manager.
3. Use Krita normally.
4. Close and reopen Krita several times.
5. After an unpredictable amount of time, Krita starts displaying the "There
are no brush presets available" message.
6. Open Resource Libraries Manager.
7. Verify that all default and imported bundles are already enabled.
8. Close the dialog.
9. Krita immediately displays the same error again.

OBSERVED RESULT
Krita reports that there are no brush presets available even though all default
resource bundles and all imported bundles remain enabled.

Deleting resourcecache.sqlite rebuilds the resource database and temporarily
restores normal behavior, but the issue eventually returns without any apparent
trigger.

The problem also survives a complete clean reinstall after deleting both:
%APPDATA%\krita
%LOCALAPPDATA%\krita

Additional resource-related issues have also been observed:
• Gege_Brush.bundle initially worked correctly after being imported. Later, the
bundle remained enabled but completely disappeared from the Brush Presets list
and appeared to contain no brush presets.
• Angel_Clouds.bundle initially worked correctly. Later, every cloud brush lost
its original brush tip and became a simple round brush with a size of 1 pixel.
Increasing the brush size only produces larger circles.

The issue affects both Krita's default resource bundles and third-party
bundles.

EXPECTED RESULT
Enabled resource bundles should continue exposing their brush presets after
restarting Krita.

Default brush presets should always remain available.

Imported brush bundles should remain functional.

Brush presets should not disappear, and brush tips should remain correctly
associated with their presets.

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
KDE Plasma Version: N/A
KDE Frameworks Version: N/A
Qt Version:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• Krita version:
5.3.2.1 (official installer)

• Tablet:
Wacom

• Wacom driver:
6.4.12-4

• Krita was installed using the official installer, not the Microsoft Store.

• Only one installation of Krita exists on this computer.

• No cloud synchronization software is used (OneDrive, Dropbox, Google Drive,
Syncthing, etc.).

• Third-party bundles were imported exclusively through Krita's Resource
Manager. No files were manually copied into the resource folders.

• I verified that the affected bundles contain the expected resource files.

• Deleting resourcecache.sqlite only provides a temporary workaround. The issue
eventually returns.

• A complete clean reinstall also does not permanently solve the problem.

Because the issue is intermittent and may require specific resource database
states to reproduce, I am willing to provide any additional files, logs or test
builds that may help reproduce and diagnose the problem.
