I have also been restarting powerdevil every time I changed a value during testing. About my user not boing in the I2C group, shouldn't that become the default in the future or do I need to add myself manually to it from now on? or continue testing with the current behavior? As for any noticeable impact on performance, the same 1-2 second choppiness on the login screen persists. My suspicion it's just the NVIDIA drivers being wonky on laptops as I notice the same choppiness when I leave my laptop idle and the GPU has to go from P8 (low power) to P4 or P0 (mid to high power) whenever it's drawing andimations.
