Bug ID: 523743
Summary: Poor results when searching for text inside
parentheses
Classification: Plasma
Product: krunner
Version First 6.7.3
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Krunner seems to avoid high rankings for middle-of-string matches. However, it
does not seem to make exceptions for special characters like parentheses. If I
have a desktop entry called "Firefox (work)", searching for "work" does not
have a high ranking; I must instead search for "(work" for it to appear near
the top.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a desktop entry called "Firefox (work)"
2. Open krunner and search "work"
OBSERVED RESULT
Searching for "work" has a low ranking for "Firefox (work)".
EXPECTED RESULT
Searching for "work" should have a top or near top ranking for "Firefox
(work)".
