I think it is more challenging and resource intensive to write code for
snapping to grid lines, avoiding existing widgets and screen edges, than to
allow free placement of widgets. There are mathematics involved in creating
such restrictions.
What is your point here in terms of resources in allowing free placement of
widgets?
