I referred to the scrollbars in the maximized dialog box (see your second
attachment).

Scrollbars in general are useful, of course, and need to be in the project
settings dialog box in case the default window is longer than the screen
height. Once the project settings dialog window is maximized one can see all
the parameters but only because the list with the available profiles is
shortened to a ridiculously small height that the scrollbars there are reduced
to dots and are therefor useless.

Hope this clears up the misunderstanding ...
