            Bug ID: 523940
Summary: Reconciliation incorrectly includes future cleared (C)
                    transactions after the statement date
    Classification: Applications
           Product: kmymoney
      Version First 5.2.2
       Reported In:
          Platform: Microsoft Windows
                OS: Microsoft Windows
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: normal
          Priority: NOR
         Component: general

  Target Milestone: ---

SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS

Operating System:
Windows 11 24H2

KMyMoney Version:
5.2.2-fe7a7d6

Qt Version:
(leave empty if unknown)

------------------------------------

DESCRIPTION

When reconciling an account, transactions marked as Cleared ("C") that are
dated AFTER the statement date are still included in the reconciliation totals.

This produces an incorrect cleared balance and forces the user to manually
un-clear future transactions before starting the reconciliation.

This behavior is counter-intuitive because reconciliation should only consider
transactions within the statement period.

------------------------------------

STEPS TO REPRODUCE

1. Create or use an account.
2. Add a transaction dated July 30 and mark it as Cleared (C).
3. Add another transaction dated August 5 and also mark it as Cleared (C).
4. Start reconciliation with a statement date of July 31.

------------------------------------

EXPECTED RESULT

Only transactions dated on or before July 31 should affect the reconciliation
totals.

Future transactions should be completely ignored until their statement period.

------------------------------------

ACTUAL RESULT

Future Cleared transactions are included in the reconciliation totals,
producing an incorrect difference.

------------------------------------

WORKAROUND

Temporarily remove the "Cleared" status from all future transactions before
starting reconciliation.

Although this works, it is very time-consuming and defeats the purpose of an
efficient reconciliation workflow.
