I use Dolphin in split view with the Information panel enabled.
When I select a PDF file in the right pane, the Information panel correctly
shows a preview of the first page of the PDF.
When I select the same PDF file in the left pane, the Information panel shows
only the generic PDF icon instead of the page preview.
I tested this with several PDF files and with different folders. The behavior
is always the same:
Select PDF in left pane → generic PDF icon only.
Select PDF in right pane → actual PDF page preview appears.
I also copied the same PDF from one pane to the other. The preview works when
the file is on the right side and does not work when it is on the left side.
The “Preview” option in the Information panel is enabled.
I also tried changing pane focus with Tab, but that did not change the
behavior.
The PDF files themselves are valid and preview correctly from the right pane.
Expected behavior:
The Information panel should show the PDF preview regardless of whether the
file is selected in the left or right split pane.
Actual behavior:
PDF preview works only when the file is selected from the right split pane.
