I actually tried to do this and Krita didn't really seem to want to acknowledge
that I even saved a new file upon reopening the program to open that invalid
file. What it ended up doing was pulling up that 'hey, these files can be
recovered or discarded' menu that pops up when opening a file that has an
autosave. I waited about 20 seconds trying to see if it would do anything and
I'm now even more confused.

I can try again but now... for WHATEVER reason it's just not wanting to crash
anymore?? After what I outlined above happened, I decided to mess around with
the welcome menu and closed/reopened the app a few times to try and get it to
crash again and now it's functioning as intended. I did not update my system
nor did I mess with the app in any way. I'll be able to mess with it more later
when I have the time. In the meantime I will send the last update log I
actually retrieved from yesterday since I don't have the time to run more tests
right now.
