DESCRIPTION
Creating this wishlist entry after comments on:
https://discuss.kde.org/t/kmymoney-account-ledger-default-date-when-program-opened/49294
I consider this item low priority.
When I open KMyMoney and go to an account ledger to create a new entry the
default date appears to be whatever date I last used for a transaction in that
account ledger before I last closed the program.
I am sort of expecting this first (initial) “starting” new account ledger entry
date after opening KMyMoney, from using other programs, to be today’s date. I
sometimes forget this. I appreciate that there is a short cut key “Shift T” to
change the date to today’s date. Once a date has been used for account ledger
entry I would then expect the date for the following account ledger entry to be
the last account entry date for the rest of the session.
I am requesting a setting that would enable the “starting” date for the first
new entry in an account ledger when KMyMoney is started to be today’s date.
I believe this request is different to:
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=522428 "KMyMoney date problem" as my
request here is only for an option to default to today's date when opening
KMyMoney. The default ledger entry date for each account would then be whatever
was the last date entered during that session.
