This issue occurs on both my Fedora KDE 44 laptop and desktop. I created a new user on my desktop and that experienced the issue too. - You must set the Power Management / Power & Battery tray entry to Always show. - Middle click the tray icon so that it shows a lock icon with red line through. - Left click the icon to open the menu and the Manually Block Sleep and Screen Locking toggle will be off despite the icon saying that it should be on. - However, now that the menu is open, middle clicking the tray icon will cause the toggle to begin working. - Middle clicking the icon will work properly even with the menu closed now. - This resets when you restart / log in and the issue happens again. - I know that this is actually an issue as I first experienced it when I middle clicked the icon on my laptop without checking the toggle in the menu (as it had worked perfectly in the past on my laptop and desktop).
