DESCRIPTION
This is mostly just because of my expectations of using other chat apps (mostly
Discord and Facebook Messenger), but in NeoChat, with Enter-sending off, the
shortcut to send a message is Shift + Enter instead of Ctrl + Enter, which has
several times tripped me up and made me send a message instead of starting a
new line. I know that this is on me, since knowing that Enter-sending is off
(as hammered in by an always-visible string under the message box), I should
have not tried to press neither Shift nor Ctrl when intending to start a new
line, but muscle memory established by other apps I constantly use is still
there, nevertheless.
Furthermore, I don't understand why there is a quick toggle for this
functionality in the message box. IMO this should be a set-and-forget option
which is found in the application's settings and not always taking up space
with a button and a string inside and under the message box.
In short, I would prefer if the ‘Send message’ shortcut was Ctrl + Enter
instead of Shift + Enter, as established by other chat apps, and if the toggle
could be moved to the settings menu, or at least optionally hidden.
