--- Comment #2 from Luis Bocanegra <[email protected]> ---
That value is coming like that from the IANA timezone database, the COT
abbreviation was removed in version 2017a
https://mm.icann.org/pipermail/tz-announce/2017-February/000045.html |
https://github.com/tzinfo/tzinfo-data/commit/c7d7b1422d2a36bc5f4f975179018fc1eb3106d9

This is likely only being reported now because there was a bug in the digital
clock widget that made it always display the time zones by city name, but now
it respects the setting to display abbreviations (codes) which is a UTC offset
in the case of Colombia and many other timezones:

for zone in $(timedatectl list-timezones); do echo $zone $(TZ=$zone date|awk
'{print $(NF-1)}'); done | column -t

This snippet produces the same behavior:

#include <QTimeZone>
#include <iostream>

int main()
{
    const QTimeZone timezoneUTC = QTimeZone("Etc/UTC");

    const QTimeZone timeZoneBogota = QTimeZone("America/Bogota");

    std::cout << timeZoneBogota.displayName(QTimeZone::TimeType::StandardTime,
QTimeZone::ShortName).toStdString() << ' ';
    std::cout << timeZoneBogota.displayName(QTimeZone::TimeType::StandardTime,
QTimeZone::LongName).toStdString() << ' ';
    std::cout << timeZoneBogota.displayName(QTimeZone::TimeType::StandardTime,
QTimeZone::OffsetName).toStdString() << '\n';
    return 0;
}

At leas that's what I think it's going on, please correct me if I am wrong.
