In some cases, removing one message from a given folder, for example the inbox
folder or the spam folder, by moving it to another folder, for example the
trashcan, does not only remove this message from the displayed list of
messages. Instead of displaying an updated list with the remaining messages, an
empty list is displayed. By clicking on another folder and clicking again on
the initial folder, the correct message list can be displayed. The message is
moved correctly, but there is an issue with updating the displayed message
list.
KMail version 6.4.3 (25.04.3), but this is not a novel bug, I have observed it
also in several older versions
