A screen recording of the issue
DESCRIPTION
If I, on a desktop icon, click the rename icon in the context menu, and then
click away without renaming it, the icon changes its position: it automatically
changes its position.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Right click on an icon in the desktop.
2. Click Rename.
3. Click away without actually renaming.
OBSERVED RESULT
The icon moves to a different position.
EXPECTED RESULT
The icon should stay where it is.
SOFTWARE/OS VERSIONS
Operating System (available in the Info Center app, or by running `kinfo` in a
terminal window): Fedora Linux 44 KDE Plasma Desktop Edition
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.29.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
I have noticed that the position changing follows a certain pattern, as shown
in the screen recording. If there is only one icon present on the desktop, it
snaps to the second position (not the first for some reason) in the grid. If
there are more than one icons, then it snaps to the first unoccupied position
(it may be the first slot if all other icons are elsewhere).
