--- Comment #4 from [email protected] --- Fair points, thanks for looking at it. On the trigger: I don't actually have solid evidence it crashes outside of a manual call. I only captured one kactivitymanagerd coredump during the whole investigation, and its timestamp lines up exactly with when I was manually probing the ActivityManager D-Bus interface with qdbus while looking into a separate plasmashell performance issue. I have no other crash instance that's independent of that. So "crash-looped on its own" was overstated on my part, sorry about that! The exact call I used: qdbus org.kde.ActivityManager /ActivityManager/Features org.kde.ActivityManager.Features.IsFeatureOperational "org.kde.ActivityManager.Resources.Scoring" Setup: stock Plasma Kicker, nothing custom. I do have 3 panels (one per monitor), which just means the launcher exists 3x, not that anything talks to the ActivityManager D-Bus API on its own.
