Bug ID: 524414
Summary: Allow Color Scheme, Plasma Theme, Icon Theme
Synchronization for Atomic Desktops
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasma-login-manager
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:
Platform: Fedora RPMs
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: general
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
CC: [email protected], [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
Description of Problem
I am aware that the Plasma Login Manager supports limited theming options -
changing Color Scheme, Icon Theme and Plasma Theme; however, according to
System Settings, in order for the customization, themes has to be installed
Globally, whose directory is: /usr/share/plasma/. The /usr directory is
read-only on Atomic desktops such as Fedora Kinoite, Bazzite, Aurora Linux,
etc, making it not possible to customize theming on PLM without utilizing
layering.
Feature Request
Can PLM (KCM and other related systems) copy the relevant theme files from the
relevant location (either from /usr/share/plasma/ or ~/.local/share/plasma/)
and copy it to /var/lib/plasmalogin/ and use that location for determining
relevant theme files.
