If the car owner isn't expecting to pay the mechanic, that's exactly right. :) Which is what's going on when you submit a bug report. The thing is, with such ancient hardware that's out of support by its vendor, there just isn't a huge chance of anyone doing anything about it. The most likely way it will happen is if you fix it, or pay for someone else to fix it.
