            Bug ID: 524504
Summary: Using the foreground / background selection from
Background Blur for other tools like gradation or
                    G'MIC Qt
    Classification: Applications
           Product: digikam
      Version First 9.1.0
       Reported In:
          Platform: unspecified
                OS: All
            Status: REPORTED
          Severity: wishlist
          Priority: NOR
         Component: ImageEditor-Plugins
          Assignee: [email protected]
          Reporter: [email protected]
  Target Milestone: ---

DESCRIPTION
I really like the selection the Background Blur Plugin does and I would like to
be able to use that selection for other editing tools like gradation (Adjust
Curves Tool) or even G'MIC Qt.
For example often I want to darken the background of an image.

STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. With Background Blur it's possible to select the foreground of an image and
then blur the background.

OBSERVED RESULT
The foreground selection can't be used in other image editing tools.
Gradation tool applies to whole image even if there is a selection.
G'MIC Qt is already able to work only on a selection (so it might be easier to
implement).

EXPECTED RESULT
I would like to use the same foreground detection as Background Blur has and be
able to select either the foreground or the background and then apply image
tools like gradation or G'MIC Qt only to this selection.
