Bug ID: 524501
Summary: Icons and arrows to expand directories in details mode
are missing when "Remember view style for each
directory" is enabled
Classification: Applications
Product: dolphin
Version First unspecified

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
After upgrading Dolphin from 26.04.3 to 26.08.0, the icons in front of the
items and the arrows to expand the directories are not displayed when the view
mode is "details" and the scaling is set to the lowest value. This only happens
when the setting "Remember view style for each directory) is enabled.
Changing the setting to "Use the same view style for all directories" resolves
the issue, as does changing the scaling to a higher value. Compact and icons
mode are also affected (in some way?), but I didn't investigate this.
Note: I translated some phrases from German.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Open a directory and change the view mode to "details"
2. Change the scaling to the smallest possible value
3. Open the settings and go to "View" (the second icon in the sidebar on the
left)
4. Click on "Remember view style for each directory" and save it by clicking on
"Apply"
OBSERVED RESULT
The icons in front of the items and the arrows (including the lines connecting
them) to expand the directories are not displayed. (It seems no .directory
files are created on my system.)
EXPECTED RESULT
There should be an icon in front of the items and there should be arrows to
expand the directories.
