--- Comment #12 from Real Name Here <[email protected]> ---
Before, I only used two Chinese mini-LED monitors, which I assumed were faulty
in some way, but having recently upgraded to an LG C6 (2026), it's impossible
to get accurate SDR colours while in HDR mode. It seems every major OLED has
very different processing depending on whether the display is set to SDR or
HDR.

Luckily, I don't have to adjust picture brightness thanks to all the great
features Zamundaaa added, but SDR colours are simply off while this display is
set to HDR. I disabled all dynamic processing and AI features but can still
witness in real-time the changes this display makes when switching between HDR
and SDR modes. Most obvious: an orange logo on a website becomes red.

Zamundaaa, is there a method for users to detect when an application displays
HDR content similar to Windows? I could then alter my script to activate only
when mpv, wine, proton-GE, and etc. display HDR content.

And thank you again for all the great work in improving colours for Plasma
Wayland!
