DESCRIPTION
Straightforward issue.
Setting the brightness to 100% renders the screen with a brightness even lower
than what 0% gives.
Setting the brightness to 99% gives a brightness that is even lower to what
100% gives.
0% and 5% render identical brightness, absolutely no distinction between the
two.
So Plasma's brightness slider percentages, sorted by actual brightness lit, is
as follows:
99, 100, 0 == 1 == 2 == 3 == 4 == 5, 6 == 7, 8, 9 == 10 ... 97
where
== : identical brightness, no difference
... : normally behaving range
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Simply scrub through the brightness slider.
OBSERVED RESULT
Awkward slider scale with leftwards shifted ends
EXPECTED RESULT
A normal brightness slider.
