Comparison of grid spacing in Dolphin v26.04 vs 26.08
DESCRIPTION
The icons grid got more dense compared to v26.04, so there is less space
available for file and folder names, leading to more truncation.
I've also considered increasing the label width in Dolphin's setting; however,
this setting is not granular enough, as the next larger setting “large” causes
a too large grid spacing.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. If necessary, change icon view settings (I'm using 48px icons size, medium
label width, and max 2 lines)
2. Open a folder in icon view
OBSERVED RESULT
Files and folders are more cramped compared to previous Dolphin version
(26.04), causing more truncated file/folder names
EXPECTED RESULT
Files and folders use more spacing, so file and folder names are truncated
less/not at all
