SUMMARY
Every time I launch an application from the Application Launcher (Kickoff),
its popup is resized back to the default (smaller) height the next time it
is opened. The user-resized height is not preserved.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. On Wayland, resize the Kickoff popup by dragging its edge to make it taller.
2. Launch any application from the launcher (popup closes as usual).
3. Open the application launcher again.
OBSERVED RESULT
The popup opens with the default height again. The stored values are
overwritten in ~/.config/plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc under
[Containments][77][Applets][78][Configuration]
(popupWidth=593, popupHeight=501 get reset).
EXPECTED RESULT
The popup keeps the height the user resized it to.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Single monitor: 2560x1440 @ 240 Hz, scale 100%.
- plasmashell does NOT crash or restart when this happens: verified via
`systemctl --user status plasma-plasmashell.service` (same PID before and
after) and `journalctl --user -u plasma-plasmashell.service` (no crash,
segfault or restart entries).
- Stock Breeze Dark look-and-feel, no third-party plasmoids or themes
installed.
- The reset happens reproducibly after every app launch, not only after
login or plasmashell restart.
Possibly related existing reports:
- Bug 500461 — Kickoff menu changes size after every login
- Bug 515116 — Kickoff stretches upwards (fixed in 6.7, commit eb3ab1ae:
"kickoff: drop preferredWidth/Height")
- Bug 463862 — Kickoff resets to default size after typing in search box
