Bug ID: 524822
Summary: Add Option To Sort Folders First or Make Folders
Appear First When Sorted In Reverse
Classification: Applications
Product: Koko
Version First 26.08.0
Reported In:
Platform: Arch Linux
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: task
Priority: NOR
Component: General
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
Currently, if a folder is sorted in reverse (on non-default) sort order (Z-A,
Largest First, Newest First, etc.), all folders are moved to the end of the
list of files in the view. This is unintuitive and inconsistent if compared to
other KDE apps like Dolphin.
So, the list of sorted items should follow what other already established apps
do, sorting folders before files by default.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Sort a list of files in any reverse (non-default) sort order
OBSERVED RESULT
Folders are moved to the end of the list of files
EXPECTED RESULT
Folders are kept at the start of the list and sorted based on the date, size,
or name
