Bug ID: 524906
Summary: [feature request] add displays-off to the super-P
quick options
Classification: Plasma
Product: plasmashell
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:
Platform: unspecified
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR
Component: Display Configuration widget and OSD

Depends on: 491900
Target Milestone: 1.0
There are methods to turn off displays (such as when wanting audio only or
doing background processing without having displays on) such as `xset dpms
force off` (which works in some cases, not others).
super-P brings up quick plasma options for external and internal displays
(mirrored, extended, one or the other etc).
Wish: an all-displays OFF option added to the super-P choices. This would be a
user-interface issue but clearly does not use the same behind-the-scenes stuff
as the other display settings. It would need to use a mechanism that reverts to
the prior display settings upon user input to the system.
