Bug ID: 524921
Summary: Focus problem during editing - project bin/clip
monitor loosing focus
Classification: Applications
Product: kdenlive
Version First 26.04.3
Reported In:
Platform: Other
OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: normal
Priority: NOR
Component: Timeline & Editing
Assignee: [email protected]
Reporter: [email protected]
Target Milestone: ---
1. After inserting a clip from the project bin using "insert" (V) or overwrite
(B) actions with project bin/clip monitor in focus, and then undo, focus is is
on timeline/project monitor. During insert, the project bin briefly blinks and
has focus - I do not remember seeing that in previous versions. May have to do
with moving the timeline playhead?
2. If you rearrange the editing workspace with clip and project monitors in the
same space, after insertion/overwriting with project bin in focus, the focus is
on timeline/project monitor. In this case, focus is not returned to project bin
as expected, making this arrangement invalid.
I believe these two cases are two results of the same bug.
I do not think the timeline/project monitor should have focus during
insert/overwrite actions.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Make sure the project bin has focus, and a clip is selected
2. press the V key
3. press CTRL + Z
OBSERVED RESULT
Focus is on timeline/project monitor
EXPECTED RESULT
Project bin/clip monitor should have focus.
