           Summary: [Wish] Dynamic header label text for different column
                    widths

  Target Milestone: ---

Feature wish:

Currently, the width of some columns has a fixed minimum, e.g. for Owner, User
Group, Permissions. Header text that is longer than that is truncated. To allow
more columns to be displayed in a view port and for columns that can have short
list entries, it would be desirable to set this minimum to the width of one or
two characters only.

Instead of cutting off the header text, it could come in several versions,
changed as needed to fit the present column width. Some examples, when
narrowing the column:
Permissions --> Perms --> Prm --> P
User Group --> Group --> Grp --> G
Owner --> Own --> O
Page Count --> Pages --> Pgs --> Pg
Here we can have list entries no longer than one (pages) to three (octal
permissions) short.

For other columns this does not make too much sense, (e.g., Deletion Time -->
Del. Time (or: "Deleted" only, one can see that this a datetime) --> Del -->
D), but it may be preferrable to implement it everywhere, for consistent
behaviour.
