Prefer to use MariaDB instead with a not to recent version as 10.11.x. In the next 9.2.0 release, we will drop the Mysql support in favor of MariaDB, as most system have migrated to this and Mysql / MariaDB compatibility cannnot be considerate as a standard. Note that under Windows, the "QtMysql" module used by digiKam still compiled with libmysql interface under VCPKG. We report a wish in this project to switch to libmariadb instead.
