Screenshot showing text rendering artifacts at 1080P 125% and 2.5K 200% scaling
Description:
* At 1080p with 125% scaling: The bug occurs only in the text editing area (1),
exhibiting uneven stroke rendering and extreme sharpness. However, it displays
normally at 100% scaling.
* At 2.5K with 200% scaling: The bug appears across the top option bar (2),
text editing area (3), and settings UI (4).
* Impact of UI Language: When changing Kate's interface language to English,
the rendering bug in the top option bar (2) and settings UI (4) disappears, but
it persists in the text editing area (3).
* Correlation with Font Size and Font Family:
- The rendering bug in the text editing area is closely related to font size.
Within normal, readable font sizes, most sizes trigger this bug, while only a
few sizes remain unaffected.
- Most fonts trigger this issue. Only a few specific fonts (such as JetBrains
Mono and Microsoft YaHei) are entirely unaffected across all font sizes.
Additional Context:
Other Qt-based software with good Windows support do not exhibit any text
rendering issues under identical scaling configurations. Therefore, this
appears to be a bug specific to Kate.
