DESCRIPTION
I was using the smudge brush over a painting and at some point it stopped
working. The canvas stays freezed, and it ignores any changes no matter the
brush/tool you use
OBS: I'm using the appimage downloaded from Krita's site.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Create a painting of 2160x2160, 300 dpi
2. Use the smudge brush(k) blender blur) all over a drawing
3. At some point, you should notice that the brush stopped smudging, and that
changing to other
brushes or tools don't change anything in the canvas. If you try to save
the file, you'll see a dialog with a
progress bar and the text "Waiting for image operation to complete...", and
it never finishes, at which point you'll need to kill the process and start
again.

-0300 - worked, since it displayed the message "Saving completed".
The last save - 31 Aug 2026 16:20:20 -0300: - didn't display the success
message.
