Summary: Enable Customizable krunner Shortcut Keys
Classification: Plasma
Product: krunner
Version First 6.7.4
Reported In:

OS: Linux
Status: REPORTED
Severity: wishlist
Priority: NOR

Target Milestone: ---
DESCRIPTION
krunner would make my kde setup more complete if I could change the keys that
close krunner (besides just ESC) and navigate the list down and up (instead of
having to use the arrow keys).
Basically, kde is so feature complete, that I have replaced my tiling window
manager setup with it on my laptop, and I have replicated almost every feature
my window manager had. I would like to use krunner instead of rofi and changing
the keybindings so I can navigate with C-n and C-p, and close krunner with C-g
would make my setup faster and feel better (as I wouldn't have to leave the
home row).
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Launch krunner
2. Notice you must use the arrow keys and ESC key to navigate it entirely with
a keyboard
3. Check "System Settings" and find that krunner doesn't seem to have
keybindings
OBSERVED RESULT
To use krunner with just keyboard, you must use the keys krunner is hard coded
with.
EXPECTED RESULT
kde allows for a lot of keyboard shortcut customization, so having this option
for krunner could make users happier.
