Nate is right that this is niche - if you could come up (in code) with a sensible design, it would certainly be looked at but nobody is very likely to implement it on their own. And even then it is not guranteed to be accepted, features that are off default are not great in general and one needs to be careful when making visual changes - there can be too much information.
