Edit mode in garbled state
DESCRIPTION
If you setup an ultra-thick vertical panel then delete it, it leaves the
desktop view in Edit mode in a garbled state, with the desktop view itself
missing and its buttons floating in the center, some overlapping each other.
Exiting edit mode fixes it, but it looks kinda bad while it happens.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
1. Enter Edit mode
2. Add a vertical panel, set it to be sufficiently large (probably depends on
screen size, 900 definitely does it for me, probably less too)
3. Delete it again
OBSERVED RESULT
Garbled desktop view
EXPECTED RESULT
Same as it was before
