DESCRIPTION
I installed OpenWhispr application that allows dictating that can be enabled in
two ways:
1. Tap shortcut, speak, tap shortcut
2. Hold shortcut while speaking
Its default shortcut is Control+Super that are modifiers only.
The first way of activating it (tap-speak-tap) works because the application
sees that this shortcut was released both times.
However, as I was informed in bug
https://github.com/OpenWhispr/openwhispr/issues/1977, that under KDE Wayland
it's not possible to use the second way of activation because this shortcut
only informs the application when it's released, therefore cannot be used for
hold activation while speaking.
May I ask you to verify if it's indeed the case (I'm not an expert in KDE input
handling, but I remember some blog posts that it was a difficult nut to break
some time ago), and if so, could you please fix it so that the modifiers-only
also report all of their statuses?
I can reproduce this in OpenWhispr with the latest openSUSE and Kubuntu Neon,
too.
